The truth of it all...I'm enough and so are you!
Where has this month gone? I’m trying to figure that out! Where has my thinking been lately?

Oh, I remember! There are some truths I’ve learned this month and they have to do with this adventure. And actually anything we put our hands and our minds to do…for the Lord! Somewhere along the way we get a bright idea and we think it might be good and we work the vision around in our brainstorming to see if it has any value in the ‘kingdom work’ we are called to…for the Lord?
Do you ever think about that? What kingdom work has God prepared for us to do and what role do we play in advancing the kingdom – sharing the good news and being vigilant for His return? Do you find yourself trying to make whatever it is you’re doing and want to do fit in that hole that says it’s what God wants too…even if it’s a square idea in a round hole?
Life by Design was that way in it’s origin but I knew the purpose was to share tags and truths about God in a way that Christians would find them to be a useful tool to open – to start conversations about God and it would somehow become easier to share the good news. I’m not very good at that personally but I thought this might be a way to encourage conversations for those of us who are shy.
And I did think it would, hopefully, maybe, find some commercial appeal and products would sell. Thank you to the four people who have purchased from my shop! LOL! But it’s not about the sales, I tell myself as I remember the promise I made when I started – that I would share tags and truths and let him use them as HE sees fit.
Somewhere along the way I lost site of that and wondered if I was on the wrong track – if I was wasting time and money when there seemed to be no response. If the supposed lack of interest was a pronouncement on my designs or my efforts? And yes, I began to drift away from the commitment I made.
But God is so faithful and he waits patiently for us to turn and look at him and ask – what did I miss? Where am I and what is important to you, Father? And he makes sure to answer with what I need to hear which in this case was:
He doesn’t measure success by outcomes but by obedience! We often chase results, God looks at my heart. I will be enough if I am walking in faith… shifting the goal from “achievement” to “alignment.”
What relief there is in that!!!! What reassurance! His hand gently leads me back to the path and says – keep walking! That’s all that I want. Success is by his terms. And he will be most glorified when I am most satisfied in Him!
I breathe a sigh of relief. Now I know where the month has gone as I sit to write another blog. And I know he is helping me shape the sentences exactly as he wants them just exactly for the one or two or more who may see this blog, in his perfect timing. Maybe it’s only for me but that’s perfect too, isn’t it? Thank you Abba!
