Fresh starts

Whether it’s conquering a bad habit or starting a new one, change is good. We want to change and we strive to measure up to expectations and accomplishing what we set our minds to, thinking this is what we’re supposed to do. But starting over takes so much effort and concentration and brutal honesty, it’s hard to keep up the pace. You confront the things you want to change but so often there’s just not enough energy and too many distractions to actually make a difference. A civil war takes place in your mind and heart as you battle for power and dominion over that one thing you know you should do – must do…soon! It’s exhausting! Resolve and will power and micromanaging don’t seem to work!

But the Bible says it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. (Philippians 2:13)

No matter how hard you work or how much effort you put in it is God at work IN you that finally succeeds.. and nothing is too hard for God. Isn’t this good news for your weary heart?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. You don't have to depend on yourself. You can't figure life out by yourself but if you submit to him & trust him, he will make a way! You got this because - He’s got you!
